A New Catalytic Converter Group Is Used on Certain 3516C HD Tier 4 Interim Generator Sets {1091}

Usage:

3516C SCJ

Engine: 3516C (S/N: SKC1-UP; SCJ1-UP; SCK1-UP; SFK1-UP)

Description of Change: The new fluted design allows for a better exhaust gas mixture and removes the need to relocate the NO_X sensor 3 feet downstream. Moving the NO_X sensor downstream was required with the former catalytic converter group.

Adaptable To: The new 445-6900 Catalytic Converter Gp replaces the existing 374-2501 Catalytic Converter Gp. The new converter group is adaptable back to first production on the serial numbers listed above.

Refer to Table 1 for a list of the parts needed to install the new 445-6900 Catalytic Converter Gp.
