Narrow Wear Rings Now Used On All Hydraulic Cylinder Rods{4303}
Usage:
Description of Change: A narrow wear ring is now in all cylinders. The narrow wear ring is now a standard size for each cylinder rod diameter. Field experience has shown that the standardized narrow wear ring will provide sufficient support and wear in all applications.
Adaptable To: The chart identifies the standardized wear ring part number, rod diameter, groove diameter and groove width. Earlier cylinder heads can be reworked by cutting a wear ring groove to the dimension shown in the chart. The wear ring groove can be cut at a minimum width (X) of 6.0 mm (.24") from the step buffer seal groove. See the illustration.
Machine the wear band groove concentric with the other grooves in the cylinder head.
