Self-Diagnostics
Caterpillar 电控发动机可执行自诊断测试。 当系统检测到现行故障时，诊断灯会点亮。 诊断代码将被储存在电子控制模块（ECM）的永久性存储器中。 可以使用 Caterpillar 电子维修工具检索诊断代码。
某些发动机安装了电子显示屏，可以直接阅读发动机诊断代码。 关于检索发动机诊断代码的详细资料，请参阅原设备制造厂提供的手册。
现行代码代表目前存在的故障。 应该首先查明这些故障。
记录的代码表示出现下列情况：
- 间歇故障
- 记录的事件
- 性能历史记录
一次最多可存储 6 个代码。
如果已存在 6 个代码，发动机随后将仍对另一故障作出反应，但 ECM 不会记录该故障。
自代码被记录后，故障可能已经被排除。 这些代码并不意味着需要进行修理。 这些代码是存在某一状况的指南或信号。 代码可能对故障诊断与排除有帮助。
当排除这些故障后，应清除相应的记录的故障代码。
