Start By:
- Connect the steering frame lock.

Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |

- Raise hood (1) by activating switch (2). Turn battery disconnect switch (3) to the OFF position.

19.2 L (5.06 US gal) of fluid. - Remove bolts (15).

Illustration 11 g03347568 - Disconnect hose (19) from diesel exhaust fluid module (20). Remove diesel exhaust fluid module (20).

- Install diesel exhaust fluid module (20) in the reverse order of removal.
- Tighten drain plug (17) to torque of
11 ± 3 N·m (97 ± 275 lb in) . - Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seal for hose assembly (9).
- Tighten drain plug (17) to torque of
