PROBLEM
The existing 217-2610 Turbo Oil Supply Line can crack on certain 824/825/826 Compactors. If the existing oil line fails it can cause an oil leak. |

Refer to Image 1.1.1 1. Remove the two 1A-2029 Oil Tube Mounting Bolts, and the old gasket (1). 2. Undo the compression Nut (2). 3. Remove the oil supply tube (3). 4. Remove the 148-8315 Connector (2). 5. If your machine has an 8C-6873 (pipe thread fitting) at location (2) instead of the 148-8315, Re-install the 8C-6873 fitting into the filter base, then install the 8C-7563 adapter as shown in Image 1.1.2 and skip to step 8. |

Refer to Image 1.2.1 & Image 1.2.2 6. Assemble the 6V-9003 Elbow with the 2M-9780 and 7J-9108 O-rings. NOTE: 2M-9780 goes on the oil filter base end, and 7J-9108 goes on the tube end. 7. Install the elbow (4), and orient it 30 degrees above the horizontal. 8. Thread the new 312-7982 Oil Supply Line onto the elbow and leave it loose. 9. Secure the top of the new supply line with the 2 5S-7383 Bolts (5), gasket (7N-8875) and torque to 47 +/- 9 Nm (35 +/- 7 lb ft). 10. Tighten the compression nut on the supply line to a torque of 80 + 8 Nm (60 + 6 lb ft). |
