Inlet port (G) of the hammer is connected to port (P) of the lubricant pump. Hydraulic oil flows through filter (3b) and orifice (3a). The hydraulic oil then passes through throttle (2) into hydraulic motor (1). The oil turns the hydraulic motor in a counterclockwise direction. The hydraulic oil leaves the lubricant pump through return port (R) to outline port (A) of the hammer.
Throttle (2) controls the flow of oil to the hydraulic motor. Turning the throttle counterclockwise increases the speed of the hydraulic motor. Turning the throttle clockwise reduces the speed of the hydraulic motor.
Hydraulic motor (1) turns worm shaft (5). Worm shaft (5) turns eccentric unit (6) in a clockwise direction. The plunger for pumping unit (7a) follows the cam of eccentric unit (6). The plunger moves in and out of the pump element as the cam rotates. Suction is created as the plunger extends. This suction draws lubricant from cartridge (4). As the plunger retracts, lubricant is forced through check valve (7b). This check valve prevents lubricant from being sucked back into the pump element. From check valve (7b), lubricant is forced through pressure relief valve (3). The pressure relief valve is set to
