Start By:
- Remove the control manifold. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Control Manifold - Remove".

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
- Loosen connectors (2) in order to remove valve body (1) from diverter valve (3).
- Repeat Step 1 for remaining connectors (2) and valve body (1).

- Remove O-ring seals (6) and backup ring (7) from cartridge assembly (4).
- Remove spool (5) from valve body (1).
- Repeat Steps 3 through 5 for remaining cartridge assembly (4).

Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.
Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
- Remove plug (16), spring (14), and spool (13) from diverter valve (3). Remove O-ring seal (15) from plug (16).
- Repeat Step 8 through 10 for remaining diverter valves (3).
