5L7446 Gauge; Use with 5L7443 Sending Unit

Temperature range ... 100 to 240° F(38 to 116° C)
Calibration test at 14 V (30° mounting):
1. Connect in series with a source of 14 Volts and 84 Ohms resistance for 5 minutes.
2. With 348.7 Ohms, pointer must read 100° F (37° C).
3. With 84 Ohms, pointer must read 170° F (77° C).
4. With 30.2 Ohms, pointer must read 240° F (116° C).

Calibration test at 28.5 V (30° mounting):
1. Connect in series with a source of 28.5 Volts and 1050 Ohms for 5 minutes.
2. With 3388 Ohms, pointer must read 100° F (37° C).
3. With 1050 Ohms, pointer must read 170° F (77° C).
4. With 460 Ohms, pointer must read 240° F (116° C).

Temperature range ... 123° to 227° F(51 to 108° C)
Calibration procedure:
1. Connect in series with a source of 28.5 ± .3 V and 520 Ohms resistance for 5 minutes.
2. Put gauge so that part No. is horizontal and the face is back 60° from vertical.
3. With 1950 Ohms, pointer must be within calibration bracket at (A).
4. With 520 Ohms, pointer must be within calibration bracket at (B).
(A) ... 123° F(51° C)
(B) ... 227° F(108° C)
