Rocker Shaft - Assemble - 3003 Engines
Assembly Procedure

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Lubricate all of the components with clean engine oil.
- Install washer (8) and spring (7) on rocker shaft (2) .

(1) Plug (2) Rocker shaft (3) Rocker arm (4) Rocker shaft bracket (5) Rocker arm (6) Washer (7) Spring (8) Washer (9) Pin | |
- Install washer (6) and rocker arm (5) on rocker shaft (2) .
- Install rocker shaft bracket (4) and rocker arm (3) on rocker shaft (2) .
- Repeat Steps 2 through 4 in order to install the remaining components.
- Install plug (1) in the end of rocker shaft (2) .
Note: The oil holes in rocker shaft bracket (4) and the oil holes in the cylinder head are aligned by pin (9) .
End By: Install the rocker shaft assembly. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Rocker Shaft and Pushrod - Install".
