Pin diameter ... 62.225 ± 0.005 mm (2.4498 ± .0002 in.)

Maximum permissible clearance of used pin and bearing ... 0.08 mm (.003 in.)

(2) Distance between pin center to bearing center ... 457.20 ± 0.03 mm (18.000 ± .001 in.)

Make reference to Special Instruction Form SMHS7295 for use of pin bearing removal and installation tools and procedure.

(3) Bore in connecting rod for bearing ... 136.766 ± 0.013 mm (5.3845 ± .0005 in.)

Clearance between bearing and bearing surface (journal) ... 0.079 to 0.185 mm (.0031 to .0073 in.)

Maximum permissible clearance of used bearing and worn bearing surface (journal) ... 0.30 mm (.012 in.)

(4) Torque for both bolts for connecting rod:

a. Put Fel-Pro C100 on threads, shank and bolt head seat.

b. Tighten all bolts to ... 55 ± 5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb ft)

c. Put a mark on each bolt and cap.

Tighten each bolt from mark ... 120°

After tightening connecting rod bolts; end clearance between bearing cap for connecting rod and crankshaft ... 0.241 to 0.902 mm (.0095 to .0355 in.)
