Torque for nuts that hold turbocharger ... 54 ± 5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb ft)
(1) End play of shaft ... 0.10 to 0.15 mm (.004 to .006 in.)
Maximum permissible end play of shaft ... 0.20 mm (.008 in.)
(2) Torque for bolts for thrust bearing ... 7 N·m (60 lb in.)
(3) Thickness of each thrust ring ... 2.51 to 2.54 mm(.099 to .100 in.)
(4) Diameter of bearing surface (journal) for shaft bearing ... 17.429 to 17.437 mm (.6862 to .6865 in.)
Bore in bearing ... 17.475 to 17.483 mm (.6880 to .6883 in.)
(5) Maximum permissible gap of ring seal (worn) ... 0.23 mm (.009 in.)
Maximum permissible groove in ring seal (worn) ... 1.73 mm (.068 in.)
Minimum permissible width of ring seal (worn) ... 1.57 mm (.062 in.)
(6) Torque for nut that holds impeller ... 45 ± 3 N·m (33 ± 2 lb ft)
NOTE: Do not bend or add stress to the shaft when nut is tightened.
(7) Diameter of bore in housing ... 26.995 to 27.008 mm (1.0628 to 1.0633 in.)
Outside diameter of the bearing ... 26.886 to 26.899 mm (1.0585 to 1.0590 in.)
(8) Width of groove in sleeve for ring seals ... 3.25 to 3.30 mm (.128 to .130 in.)
Side clearance between two of the ring seals and sleeve groove ... 0.05 to 0.15 mm (.002 to .006 in.)
(9) Clearance between housing and impeller ... 0.46 to 0.55 mm (.018 to .022 in.)
(10) Torque for nut for band clamp ... 14 ± 3 N·m (10 ± 2 lb ft)
(11) Thickness of thrust bearing ... 5.72 to 5.74 mm (.225 to .226 in.)
(12) Torque for nut for band clamp ... 14 ± 3 N·m (10 ± 2 lb in)
