Description Of Change: A product update for certain M Series Medium Wheel Loaders.

This product update includes the following improvements:

  • Compliance of all models to the new EU Stage V emissions regulations through updated Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF), and engine software

  • Updating of the engine ECM capabilities on 950M and 962M which now integrates DEF module control and removes the standalone DEF Control Unit (DCU)

  • Introduction of the Next Generation Seat which is available with an optional cooling feature

  • Introduction of cartridge type filters for 966M through 982M engine oil and fuel systems

  • Integration of the hydraulic oil thermal bypass valve with the hydraulic oil cooler core

  • Introduction of High Lift and Logger linkage offerings on the 982M

  • Updating the 950M, 962M, 966M, and 972M implement pump
This product update is announcing the following Maintenance Interval Schedule improvements that are adaptable to previous Tier 4 final/Stage IV-compliant M-series machines.

Reference: Refer to the following manuals for service intervals. Operation and Maintenance Manual , SEBU9052, SEBU9053, SEBU9054, , M0069086, and , SEBU9117.

  • Engine oil and filter maintenance intervals are extended to 1000 hours provided fluid, filter, and SOS guidelines are followed as prescribed in the Operation and Maintenance Manual

  • Hydraulic oil filters (both the kidney loop filter and the return filter) maintenance intervals are extended to 1000 hours
This product update also includes the following software configuration change that is adaptable to previous M-series machines that are equipped with the PLE641 or PLE631 Product Link System.

  • A new "Automatic Beacon On Enable Status" configuration has been added to turn on the warning beacon automatically when the machine is running.
