Introduction

There have been some changes to the Fit and Form of the SR inverter used on the F Series Pavers. This document is intended to be a guide on the changes, and potential rework required to update a paver to the newer designs.

The original, 448-9287 Power Inverter Group, had a quality issue that was resolved with Inverter serial numbers greater than JF300625. Inverters with serial numbers JF300626 and above are built with the quality issue resolved.

499-2622 SR Power Inverter Group was released to allow easier tracking of the Inverters built with the quality improvements to 448-9287.

549-8335 SR Power Inverter Group was designed and released due to reaching end of life of the housing casting tooling used to manufacture the 499-2622 Power Inverter Group. The casting changes created some space claim clearance issues with the pavers. The following possible interferences need evaluated if either 448-9287 or 499-2622 is replaced with an SR inverter with the new casting design, component 566-9528.

The SR Inverter 549-8335 has a change to the internal pad height where the phase cables from the generator attach to the SR Inverter. Machines built with these SR inverters have longer bolts ( 6V-8837) and a spacer ( 566-9116) between the cable and pad internal to the inverter. If the 549-8335 inverter is replaced in the field, the bolts and spacer ( 6V-8837 & 566-9116) should be discarded and replaced with quantity of 6 of bolt 2W-9513.

The hardware also changed for the ground wire on the phase cables. The hardware changed from M6 to M5. Discard Qty 3 of Washer 1A-8912, Lockwasher 1H-3338 and Bolt 5C-9553, replacing them with Washer 4B-4274, Lockwasher 096-0192 and Bolt 7I-2273.

The current SR Inverter, 566-9528, has the internal pad height correct to ensure optimal centering of the phase cables without spacers. Bolt 2W-9513 is again used for the phase cables, and the following hardware is used for the phase ground wires. Washer 4B-4274, Lockwasher 096-0192 and Bolt 7I-2273.

Currently, 2 SR inverters are available through the parts depots, 499-2622 and 566-9528. Both have the same high expected quality levels. 499-2622 will ensure fit up on older machines without modification. 566-9528 is the current part number in production and is a drop in fit in newer machines.

When the supply of 499-2622 has been exhausted, all machines will need to be serviced with the 566-9528 inverter.
