Reference: Special Instruction, M0100593, "Procedure to Remove the Fourth Accumulator And Expansion Tank on Certain 793F CMD Off-Highway Trucks"
Description Of Change: A procedure to remove the fourth accumulator and expansion tank is available for the machines listed above.
Removing the steering accumulator is not required, however new conversions no longer require installation of steering accumulator and steering expansion tank on top of the right hydraulic tank. Leaving out the operations related to the steering accumulator and expansion tank saves 36 man-hours in the build, reduces the potential for leaks, and simplifies filling the hydraulic oil level.
The software has been improved to reduce unnecessary steering movement, and hence reduce "Low Secondary Steering Pressure" warnings. Revert to the standard steering sight gauge locations so that the steering oil volumes will be correct when the technicians are checking for oil levels.
