Description of Change: An improved drawbar and yoke assembly is now used on the machines listed above. The yoke plate tail is extended to the end of the drawbar assembly creating a sturdy component. Also new gussets are installed to the circle adjustment screw plates which improves the service life of the drawbar group.

Adaptable To: The improved 253-4651 Drawbar and Yoke As and 268-5739 Drawbar are effective with the machines that are listed in Table 1. For machines that are listed as "Adaptable to Machines" in Table 1, refer to following procedure to add gussets.

1. Fabricate gussets (2) from ASTM A656 Grade 50 low alloy high strength steel as per the dimension shown in Illustration 2.

2. Add fabricated gussets (2) to the circle adjustment screw plates. The 447-5434 Gusset is a part of improved 253-4651 Drawbar and Yoke As and 268-5739 Drawbar .

3. Locate and weld two 447-5434 Gussets (2) as per Illustration 4 and Illustration 5 on the circle adjustment screw plates.
