Personal injury or death can result from improper lifting or blocking. When a hoist or jack is used to lift any part or component, stand clear of the area. Be sure the hoist or jack has the correct capacity to lift a component. Install blocks or stands before performance of any work under a heavy component. Approximate weights of the components are shown. Clean all surfaces where parts are to be installed.

Note: Remove all protective shipping covers, flanges, plugs, caps, clamps, cable straps, and material.

Note: Clean mounting and contact surfaces for major component installation free of wax, dirt, debris, paint, and grease.

Note: If necessary, chase unprotected threaded holes with an appropriately sized tap to remove paint, rust, or other debris.

Note: Unless otherwise specified, all torque requirements are Standard Torque values. Refer to the "General Information" section in this document for the correct torque values.

Note: Before tightening the cable straps (mounting hardware), remove the slack from the harness assembly(s) and allow adequate strain relief.

1. Install one bracket assembly (1) onto mirror group (3). Install two bolt assemblies (2).

   4. Connect wiring harness (A) to mirror group (B). Install plate (5), plate (6), three cable straps (21), bolt assembly (4), and two cable straps (9).

   5. Connect wiring harness (C) to mirror group (D). Install plate (5), plate (6), three cable straps (21), and four cable straps (9).

   9. Connect wiring harness (F) to mirror group (E). Install plate (5), plate (6), three cable straps (21), bolt assembly (4), and three cable straps (9).

   10. Connect wiring harness (G) to mirror group (H). Install plate (5), plate (6), three cable straps (21), bolt assembly (4), and three cable straps (9).

   11. Install one bracket (24), two U-bolts (28), clip (26), clip (27), four hard washers (7), and four nuts (25).

   12. Install mirror assembly (22), nut (23). Tighten nut (23) to a torque of 12 ± 5 N·m (106 ± 44 lb in).

   13. Connect wiring harness assembly (K) to mirror assembly (J).
