The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until the permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

Cylinder rods for the Backhoe Loader are found with the following issues at very early hours:

• scoring on the rod

• scratches on the rod

• surface pitting on the rod

Replace failed components with existing components from the parts system. Include the following information when you enter information regarding the failure into the system:

• A clear close up picture of the failure

• A picture that shows the orientation of the failure with respect to the eye and grease fitting

• A clear picture that shows any markings on the piston end of the rod
