Coolant Conditioner Elements And Their Capacities

Usage:

All Caterpillar Industrial, Marine Engines

Precharge coolant conditioner elements are available for engines with cooling capacities from 22 - 247 liters (6 - 65 gallons). These precharge elements can be used to originally charge a cooling system after it has been drained and is filled with new coolant or water. The precharge elements will give a 3% to 6% concentration of liquid corrosion inhibitor when used as shown in the chart.

Maintenance coolant conditioner elements are to be used after the first maintenance period in the place of the precharge elements. The maintenance elements will keep the cooling system at the 3% to 6% concentration for the maintenance period shown in the chart.

Liquid coolant conditioner can also be used to precharge and for maintenance of cooling systems. See the chart. To precharge a cooling system, 0.5 liter (1 pint) of liquid conditioner can be used with every 15 liters (4 gal) of coolant for the system. Use 0.5 liter (1 pint) of conditioner with every 61 liters (16 gal) of coolant for maintenance of the system for a period of 600 hours.

Use 0.25 liter (.5 pint) of conditioner with 61 liters (16 gal) of coolant for a period of 300 hours.
