Plastic Plugs Now Used To Hold Piston Pins In Bendix Air Compressors

Usage:

All Products Equipped With Bendix Tu-Flo 400, Tu-Flo 500, And Tu-Flo 1000 Air Compressors

Description of Change: Plastic plugs are now used in each end of the piston pins for the above air compressors. The new plugs hold the pin in place better, and prevent possible damage to the cylinder walls. The wire-type pin lock formerly used some times permitted the pin to work out far enough to damage the cylinder walls.

With the change in the piston pin locks, the new piston assembly for the Tu-Flo 400 air compressor is also changed to use three piston rings instead of four. The ring size and design are not changed; only the quantity used per piston. For this reason, the rings in the 1S9875 Piston Ring Kit are not changed and the kit can be used for service repair of either the new or former piston assembly. No change has been made to the rings on piston assemblies for the Tu-Flo 500 and Tu-Flo 1000 Air Compressors, and the 3S916 Piston Ring Kit is still used for these models.

Adaptable As: Each of the new parts is a direct replacement for the respective former part, as shown in the chart. The former parts are canceled. Repair kits are shown in the chart for easy reference.
