Exhaust Manifold - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

  1. Unplug sensor (4) and harness assemblies (3) .

  1. Remove tube assembly (1) .

  1. Remove tube assemblies (2) .

  1. Remove tube assembly (6) and tube assembly (7) .

  1. Remove bracket assembly (5) .

  1. Remove hose (9) and hose (10) .

  1. Remove breather assembly (8) .

  1. Remove bracket (11) .

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device to the exhaust manifold (15). The weight of exhaust manifold (15) is approximately 59 kg (130 lb).

  1. Remove harness assembly (12) .

  1. Remove bolts (14) .

  1. Remove bolts (17), bolts (19), and bracket (19) .

  1. Remove exhaust manifold (15) .

  1. Remove nuts (16) and exhaust adapter (13) .

Install Procedure

  1. Install exhaust manifold (15) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten bolts (14) to a torque of 17 ± 2 N·m (146 ± 13 lb in) using sequence illustrated above.

    1. Tighten bolts (16) to a torque of 46 ± 5 N·m (34 ± 3 lb ft)

    1. Tighten bolts (17) to a torque of 80 ± 8 N·m (59 ± 6 lb ft).

    1. Tighten bolts (18) to a torque of 46 ± 5 N·m (34 ± 3 lb ft).
