Engine Control Module - Remove and Install

Usage:

C9.3 CS9

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the electronic control (Aftertreatment).

  1. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery or Battery Cable - Disconnect".

  1. Remove bolts (1) and remove cover (2) .

  1. Remove bolts (3) and (4). Position the harness assembly out of the way.

  1. Remove bolt (7). Disconnect hose assemblies (5) and (8) .

  1. Remove plate (6) .

  1. Remove studs (9). Remove engine control module (10), the washers, and the isolation mounts.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install engine control module (10) in reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten bolt (3) to a torque of 7 ± 0.5 N·m (62 ± 5 lb in).
