Retarder Hydraulic Control Valve - Disassemble

Usage:

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the retarder hydraulic control valve.

    Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.

    Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.

    Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.


  1. Remove bolts (1), plate (2), and O-ring seal (3).

  2. Remove slug (4), spring (5), and spool (6).

  3. Remove stop (7) and spring (8).

  4. Remove bolts (9) in order to remove reducing valve (10) and plate (11).

  5. Remove O-ring seal (12) and O-ring seal (13). Remove solenoid valve (14).

  6. Remove nut (15) in order to remove coil assembly (16). Remove O-ring seals (17).

  7. Remove stop (18). Remove ball (19).

  8. Remove plug (20), O-ring seal (21), spool assembly (22), and spring (23).

  9. Remove orifice (24) and cartridge (25).
