The function of joystick switch support is to utilize machine Work Tool joystick switches to interact with Cat Grade Control.

The following list is basic information about the trigger (4):
- Press and hold trigger to enable Cat Grade Control mode of switches.
- Inputs (2), (3), (6), and (7) are used for Cat Grade Control when trigger (4) is pressed and held.
- If trigger (4) is pressed while another input is engaged, trigger (4) is ignored and work tool function continues.
- If trigger (4) is released while another input is engaged, Cat Grade Control function stops and input must return to neutral before system will perform work tool function.
Perform the following procedure to adjust the target depth:
- Hold trigger (4).

While adjusting depth, target depth is shown on the display. Refer to Illustration 3.
- Release thumb (3).
- Release trigger (4).
Perform the following procedure to adjust the target slope:
- Hold trigger (4).

While adjusting slope, target slope is shown on the display. Refer to Illustration 4.
- Release thumb (6).
- Release trigger (4).
Perform the following procedure to set bench mark:
- Hold trigger (4).
- Press and release button (7) to set bench mark.
The icon will update to indicate bench mark set if bench mark not previously set.
- Release trigger (4).
Perform the following procedure to clear bench mark:
- Hold trigger (4).
- Press and hold button (7) to clear bench mark.
The display will reflect new bench status.
- Release button (7).
- Release trigger (4).
Note: Available if laser not detected or not previously accepted.
Perform the following procedure to touch point:
- Place bucket on an arbitrary reference location.
- Hold trigger (4).
- Press and release button (2) to define reference elevation.
The display will indicate touch point initiated and provide instructions.
- Release trigger (4).
- Move machine and return bucket to same reference location as in Step 1.
- Hold trigger (4).
- Press and release button (2) to update based on reference location.
The display will return to normal once touch point process completed.
Note: Available when laser strike detected.
Perform the following procedure to accept laser:
- Hold trigger (4).
- Press and release button (2) to accept laser. The display will indicate laser accepted
The icon on the display updates for time period and RH light bar indicates valid strikes detected. The display will indicate laser accepted.
- Release trigger (4).
