Usage:
Every Caterpillar engine must pass a full load operation test on a dynamometer before shipment, eliminating the need for a break in period. Only an initial operational check is necessary, however, extra time spent in checking and inspecting the systems before putting the engine to work will give the operator an opportunity to become acquainted with the systems and maintenance procedures.
