NOTE: This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS4806" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The turbocharger wastegate opening pressure may be set low on certain 3306C Truck Engines.

NOTE: This Program does not apply if the engine cylinder block is stamped "AN" next to the serial number.
Parts Needed
- 1 - .080" Shim
NOTE: Shims have been sent to most dealers. If you have not received them, call Dick Dieffenbach at (309) 578-6795
Action Required
Inspect the cylinder block next to the serial number. If the cylinder block is stamped "AN", this Program does not apply.
Loosen the two " nuts on the wastegate actuator mounting bracket.
NOTE: Do not remove nuts.
Tip the actuator back to separate the actuator from the mounting bracket and install the .080" shim. If necessary, use a suitable tool to tip the actuator.
Push the shim into place around both of the mounting studs. Tap lightly on the shim to ensure shim slots contact the mounting studs.
Tighten the two nuts.
