Announcement

Caterpillar Remanufactured Products Group announces the availability of a remanufactured front axle assembly for all sales models of the 793 off-highway trucks.

Coverage

The introduction of this front axle gives dealers an additional piece part repair option for repair of front wheels on 793's.

Features and Benefits

The REMAN front axle assemblies incorporate the latest engineering improvements for this part. These front axles are remanufactured using a laser cladding process to repair where necessary and laser hardening to provide a hardened bearing surface. Older front axles (8X8410) didn't have a laser hardened bearing surface. This product will result in axles with a service life equal to or greater than the original axles (in identical applications).

Core Attrition Policy

Core returns of front axle assemblies are NOT administered under the REMAN core attrition policy. This means there are no time limits for the return of the core. Since dealers do pay a core deposit, it is to the dealer's benefit to return cores as soon as possible.
