Problem

The 521-5433 Fuel Pump Gp may deteriorate causing debris to collect in the screen which can lead to pump failure.

If the 521-5433 Fuel Pump Gp fails, use the procedure below.

  1. Replace the previous failed fuel pump with the 574-0991 Fuel Pump Gp.

  2. Replace the engine oil filters with new filters and replace the engine oil.

    Note: Use only Cat engine oil filters or filters with the same specifications as 275-2604 Engine Oil Filter. Do not use oil filters that are designed with an internal bypass.
