Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) - The DPF uses a chemical process and a ceramic filter to transform pollutants in the exhaust stream into less harmful components.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) - DEF is a solution of solid urea that is dissolved in demineralized water to produce a final concentration of 32.5 percent urea. DEF concentration of 32.5 percent is optimal for use in SCR systems.
Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) - The DOC uses a chemical process to transform pollutants in the exhaust stream into less harmful components.
Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) - The SCR reduces NOx in the exhaust stream.
SCR Controller - An electronic module which stores and analyzes data from the retrofit SCR system operation.
