Compressor Bypass - Check
Check for leaks. If necessary, remove the actuator according to the instructions in the Disassembly and Assembly manual.
To check the compressor bypass, perform the following:
- Inspect the throat for wear marks.
- Check for free movement of the butterfly valve.
- Inspect the compressor bypass bore for a build-up of deposits. Remove the deposits from the bore to ensure proper compressor bypass operation.
- Inspect the gaskets for wear or damage. If necessary, replace the gaskets.
- Install the actuator. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly manual for the installation of the actuator.
