- Drain the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

30 kg (66 lb) . - Remove nuts (16) and air inlet elbow (17) from the turbo.

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
- Install turbocharger (27) in the reverse order of removal.
- Ensure bellows (20) are installed in the direction of flow as indicated by the arrows.
- Apply Tooling (B) to bolts (21).
- Tighten bolts (18) to a torque of
120 ± 20 N·m (89 ± 15 lb ft) .
Note: Apply Tooling (B) to all of the hardware for the exhaust shielding and the turbo shielding prior to installation.
