Introduction

The problem identified below is not a defect. Refer to the information below.

Problem

The swash plate support in a side by side pump, has a moly coating. The moly coating is used while breaking in the pump. Once the coating is gone, a brass surfaced is exposed. Both sides of the swash plate support are hydraulically balanced, however the pressure side coating always wears off first.

Solution

The wear on the swash plate support is normal, it should not be considered a defect or failure.
