Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the valve cover.

1. Remove bolts (1).

2. Use Tooling (A) to remove rocker arm and shaft (2). Remove pushrods (3).

Installation Procedure

1. Install rocker arm and shaft (2) in the reverse order of removal.

   1. Lubricate the contact points of pushrods (3) with clean engine oil. Install pushrods (3).

   2. Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 100 ± 20 N·m (74± 15 lb ft) in the sequence shown.

   3. Tighten bolts (1) again to a torque of 100 ± 20 N·m (74± 15 lb ft) in the sequence shown.

   4. Adjust the electronic unit injectors. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Electronic Unit Injector - Adjust".

   5. Adjust the engine valve lash. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Engine Valve Lash - Inspect/Adjust".
