(1) Parallel cabinet controller board |
The parallel cabinet controller board (1) is the controller for the MMS. The parallel cabinet controller performs the following actions:
- Monitoring of voltage in the system
- Monitoring of current in the system
- Controlling the bypass hardware
- Communicating with all of the MMU cabinets
- Processing of user input signals
- Processing of user output signals
Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, UENR3954, "Internal Component Preremoval Steps (MMS System Cabinet)" in order to shut down the system and gain access to internal components.
- Disconnect all connectors. Refer to Illustration 2. Verify each labeling on the connector with the location of the wire. Verify each label on each connector.
- Remove the five screws that connect the board (1) to the left panel.
Note: The board must be removed without bending the board.

- Position the board (1) in the cabinet over the four white standoffs that are connected to the left panel.
- Push the board (1) onto all the standoffs simultaneously. Verify that all standoffs are locked in place.
- Connect the wire connectors into the correct connectors on the board (1). Check the labels on each connector for proper placement. Refer to Illustration 2.
