Failure to connect the unit to a suitable grounding electrode creates an electrical shock hazard. An electrical shock will result in serious personal injury or death. |
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) suitable to the work being performed must be worn when performing maintenance on the UPS.
High voltage is present. Work on this equipment must be performed by authorized trained personnel. Personnel must be wearing Personal Protective Equipment that meets regulatory requirements to protect the body for the work that is being performed. Failure to use appropriate PPE to protect the body will result in serious personal injury or death. |
Performing maintenance inspections with power supplied to the UPS may result in serious personal injury or death. When using an external maintenance bypass, the UPS can be fully de-energized. When using an internal maintenance bypass, the UPS is not fully de-energized. Refer to the Building System Schematic to ensure that all necessary precautions have been taken before performing any maintenance procedure. Use lock out and tag out procedures as required. |
NOTICE |
---|
Before beginning this test, notify the customer that the system will be performing a full functional test and explain the potential risk to the load. Do not proceed with this test until the customer is aware of the risks and has given approval to perform the test. |
Verify that the UPS is configured for the Test mode before starting this test as follows:
- Place the MAINS 1 (Q1) input switch in the ON (closed) position.
- Place the MAINS 2 (Q4S) input switch in the ON (closed) position.
- Place the output switch in the ON (closed) position.
- Place the battery disconnects in the ON (closed) position.
- Place the internal maintenance bypass switch in the OFF (open) position.
- Turn off the inverter if the inverter is not off already.
Perform the battery check.
- Place the UPS in normal operation under a zero to 25 percent load.
- Press and hold the ON button (47) for 3 seconds to start the inverter.
