The DCU has four soft keys. A soft key is similar to a push button except that the function of the button can change. That is, the same push button can, through software, have the function changed. The current function of the soft key is show on the screen context that is above the button. Refer to Illustration 1.

Quick Access

There are four functions assigned to the soft keys in the instrument view. Refer to the following list:

Softkey 1 - Language (speech symbol)

Softkey 2 - Backlight

Softkey 3 - Units - Metric or U.S.

Softkey 4 - Operation - Local/Remote

The four functions are also available through the main menu.
