An Improved Camshaft Is Used for G3520C Generator Sets that Are Rated at 1800 rpm {1210}

Usage:

G3520C CWY
Generator Set:
G3520C (S/N: GZA1-UP; GZM1-UP; CWY1-UP)

Description of Change: The new camshaft was designed to reduce the velocity of seating the intake and exhaust valves. The camshaft is more rugged in order to resist an incorrectly set valve lash and damage from an engine overspeed. The new camshaft affects the engine's performance at a higher altitude.

Adaptable To: The new 316-1663 Camshaft Gp replaces the previous 204-0854 Camshaft Gp in the above Generator Sets.

The new Technical Data Sheets for engines that are equipped with the new camshaft are available on TMI Web.

The new camshaft is effective with the following serial numbers:

  • (S/N: GZA00209)

  • (S/N: GZM00196)
