Assembly Procedure

1. All of the parts must be clean, free of dirt and foreign material. Put clean hydraulic oil on all parts at assembly.

2. Install valve stem (2), spring (3), O-ring seal (4) and plug (5) in valve body (1), as shown.

Note: The bulldozer tilt control valve, the ripper lift control valve and the ripper tilt control valve are assembled in the same way. Follow steps 3 through 9 in order to assemble the control valves.

3. Install the O-ring seal and plug (8) in the end of valve stem (6) for the ripper lift and tilt pilot control valves only.

4. Install spring (9) and retainers (7) on the end of valve stem (6) .

5. Install valve stem (6) in valve body (10), as shown.

6. Install the O-ring seal and housing (11) on the end of valve body (10) .

7. Use Tooling (A) in order to install seal (13) in housing (12). Install the seal with the lip of the seal toward the inside of the valve, as shown. Install O-ring seal (14) in housing (12) .

8. Install all of O-ring seals (15) and (16) in valve body (10) .

9. Put housing (12) in position over the valve stem on valve body (10) .

10. The O-ring seals must be installed in valve body (1) and manifold (20) .

11. Put valve body (1), bulldozer control valve (17), ripper lift control valve (18), ripper tilt control valve (19) and manifold (20) in position, as shown.

12. Install bolts (21), (22) and (23) in order to hold the pilot control valve together.

End By: Install the pilot control valve.
