Make sure the bucket is level and with no pressure on it before the pins are removed. |
NOTE: If the pin is a very tight fit, tooling (A) can be used.
1. Remove bolts (1) from bucket pins (2) on each arm. Use a pry bar and a drift to remove the pin from each arm and bucket.
2. Remove the bolt and pin to disconnect the link
3. Fasten a hoist, and remove the bucket. Weight of the standard bucket is 780 kg (1750 lb).
NOTE: Install Bucket in the reverse order. Put clean grease on the bearings in the bucket and bucket link. Tighten all pin bolts to a torque of 360 ± 50 N·m (265 ± 35 lb ft). Install the grease fitting in the pins. After installation use a grease gun to push clean grease into the pins.
