Reference: "Some Single Part Numbers Have Two Half Bearings" on Page 9 of the June 1, 1981 Service Magazine.
The reference article tells about field problems with quantities of half bearings ordered for parts service. To correct these problems, a new standard has been put in effect for the bearings shown in the chart. Under this standard, when a quantity of one part number is ordered, one complete bearing will be sent, including both halves of the bearing.
With the new standard, check parts orders very carefully to be sure the correct quantities are ordered. In many applications of these bearings, the Parts Books show the quantities of half bearings used according to the original design, instead of the quantities of complete bearings. For example, in an application where two complete bearings are needed, and the Parts Book shows a quantity of four half bearings, order a quantity of two (only) for bearing replacement.
