Use the Correct Tooling for Installing Piston Rings {1214, 1215}

There have been some complaints of top ring breakage on 3500 Engines. This ring is very sensitive to twisting, which can lead to early hour failure. Extreme care must be taken in order to avoid twisting the ring during installation. Caterpillar only recommends the use of the Caterpillar service tools in order to install the rings onto the pistons on 3500 Engines. Use the 6V-4024 Guide Ring and 6V-4023 Handle Assembly to install the piston rings.
