Final Drive Oil Level - Check

(1) Oil level/fill plug

- Position one final drive so that oil drain plug (2) is at the bottom.
Note: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "General Hazard Information" for information on Containing Fluid Spillage.
- Remove oil level/fill plug (1).
- Check the oil level. The oil should be near the bottom of the opening of level/fill plug (1).
- Add oil through the opening of level/fill plug (1), if necessary.
Note: Overfilling the final drive will cause the seals on the travel motor to allow hydraulic oil or water to enter the final drive. This may contaminate the final drive.
- Clean oil level/fill plug (1).
- Apply pipe sealant to oil level/fill plug (1).
- Install oil level/fill plug (1).
- Repeat the procedure for the other final drive.
