Valve clearance with engine stopped:

Intake valve ... .012 in.(0.30 mm)

(To make adjustment, turn adjusting screw 6 clicks counterclockwise from zero).

Exhaust valve ... .026 in.(0.66 mm)

(To make adjustment, turn adjusting screw 13 clicks counterclockwise from zero).

(1) 3S3018 Spring for valve:

Length under test force ... 1.738 in.(44.15 mm)

Test force ... 45 ± 5 lb.(200 ± 22 N)

Use again minimum load at length under test force ... 34.2 lb.(152.5 N)

Length of spring at valve open position ... 1.258 in.(31.95 mm)

Use again minimum load at valve open position ... 128.2 lb.(570.5 N)

Free length after test ... 1.96 in.(49.8 mm)

Outside diameter ... 1.215 in.(30.86 mm)
