Engine Overspeed Function
When the engine speed increases to a predetermined level, the Transmission ECM will upshift the transmission. The transmission will shift one gear position past the operator selection, protecting the engine from overspeed. If the transmission is already in the top gear (Gear 5), the Transmission ECM will sift the torque converter into converter drive.
