Introduction
The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.
Problem
Proximity sensor on the stabilizer legs may become an open circuit on the machines listed above. The proximity sensor is used on the stabilizer legs and as the boom retraction sensor.
The proximity sensor failure may cause the following malfunctions:
- Boom not to move or fully extend
- Machine not moving intermittently
- Stabilizers not fully extending
- Error code 2560 display for the boom retraction

Solution
If the proximity sensor becomes an open circuit, replace the 330-4261 Proximity Sensor with the same part number.
Report the failure through CPI feedback tool in Service Information Management System (SIMSi) referencing CPI number 391577 to have a "Send-It-Back" (SIB) request generated. A SIB request will be issued to your dealer code in the SIB system after the (SIMSi) entry is created.
Take a picture of the condition prior to repair and submit the failed component along with any other available information to (SIMSi).
