Note: Use 6V-4876 Lubricant on the bolt threads.
The tightening sequence for the cylinder head bolts follows:
- Tighten bolts (1) through (20) in a numerical sequence.
Torque for bolts ... 280 ± 27 N·m (207 ± 20 lb ft)
- Again tighten bolts (1) through (20) in a numerical sequence.
Torque for bolts ... 440 ± 20 N·m (325 ± 15 lb ft)
- Finally tighten bolts (1) through (20) in a numerical sequence.
Torque for bolts ... 440 ± 20 N·m (325 ± 15 lb ft)
- Install the rocker arms.
- Tighten bolts (21) through (26) in a numerical sequence.
Torque for bolts ... 280 ± 27 N·m (207 ± 20 lb ft)
- Again tighten bolts (21) through (26) in a numerical sequence.
Torque for bolts ... 440 ± 20 N·m (325 ± 15 lb ft)
- Finally tighten bolts (21) through (26) in a numerical sequence.
Torque for bolts ... 440 ± 20 N·m (325 ± 15 lb ft)
- Tighten bolts (27) through (39) in a numerical sequence.
Torque for bolts ... 47 ± 9 N·m (35 ± 7 lb ft)
(40) Tighten the exhaust manifold studs that are in each cylinder head to the following torque. ... 35 ± 5 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft)
