  1. Install new glass (1) into the door frame by sliding the glass into the hinge side channel and then pushing the glass into the center channel.

Note: Ensure glass (1) is orientated in such a way so that the glass label is near the lower center post of the door.

    NOTICE

Do not use retained or third-party glass as unapproved glass may create a risk for cracks or breakage.

  1. Cut seal (2) to fit the entire length of the window channel on the hinge side. Apply weather strip adhesive to the back side of seal (2) and press into the window channel. Slide the window up and down while pressing or sliding seal (2) into the window channel along the entire length of the frame. Maneuver seal (2) until the seal is past the edge of the glass. Once the seal is fully installed, verify that glass (1) moves freely up and down and seal (2) remains seated.

Note: Use soapy water as needed to aid in removal and installation of glass seal.

Note: Seal (2) must be a continuous piece. Do not use multiple sections of seal to form the sealing edge.

  1. Install window drive assembly (3) onto plate assembly (4) using four bolts (5) and four hard washers (6) as shown in Illustration 6. Ensure plate assembly (4) slides onto the studs of the vertical rod of the window drive assembly (3). Secure the included nuts onto the studs.

  1. Install plate assembly (4) onto the door frame using the retained mounting hardware.

    Illustration 7g03812918

  1. Slide glass (1) into window drive assembly (3) .

    NOTICE

Do not slide glass (1) too far into the clamps. Doing so will cause too much stress on the glass when the clamps are tightened or the window is in operation. Keep glass above indentation (L) .

  1. Tighten the clamp nuts on window drive assembly (3) to 4.5 N·m (39.8 lb in).

Note: Do not exceed 5 N·m (44.25 lb in) or the glass may crack.

    Illustration 8g03813024

  1. Install retained and modified handle assembly (A) using the retained mounting hardware.

  1. Test the power window using a 24 volt battery before attaching the door panel. The window should move freely with out binding. The regulator motor should not draw more than four amps. If the motor draws more than four amps, adjust the alignment of the regulator to reduce friction on the glass.

  1. Route the regulator harness through the retained non-metallic door trim panels and install the panels. Use the retained mounting hardware from the door assembly.

  1. Repeat Steps 1 through 9 for the opposite door.

  1. Install doors to cab and adjust strikers as needed.
