Usage:
preparatory step:
a) remove exhaust manifold heat shields
1. Remove the exhaust manifold-to-elbow mounting bolts and nuts (1).
2. Remove the exhaust manifold mounting nuts, locks, washers, and heat shield mounting brackets (2).
3. Remove the exhaust manifold - weight 40 lbs. (18 kg).
4. Remove the exhaust manifold gaskets.
Install Exhaust Manifolds
1. Coat the threads of the exhaust manifold retaining studs with 9M3710 Anti-Seize Compound.
2. Install new exhaust manifold gaskets.
3. Position the exhaust manifold on engine, and install the mounting nuts, locks, washers, and heat shield mounting brackets.
4. Coat the threads of exhaust manifold-to-elbow mounting bolts with 9M3710 Anti-Seize Compound.
5. Install manifold-to-elbow gasket, mounting bolts, and nuts.
