A New Special Instruction , "Installation of the Hydraulic Auto Lube System on Certain 16M Motor Graders" is Now Available {7540}

Usage:

16M B9H
Motor Grader:
16M (S/N: B9H1-UP; R9H1-UP)

Description of Change: This new special instruction contains information about the parts and procedure that is needed to install a hydraulic auto lube system on the machines listed above. The existing electric auto lube system has been replaced by a new hydraulic auto lube system. This new hydraulic driven system is being introduced on production machines. The hydraulic driven system is also a serviceable replacement to machines in the field with the existing electric driven systems. The new hydraulic auto lube system is expected to have a longer service life and lower maintenance issues than the existing electrical system.

For a complete list of material and the correct procedure that is needed in order to install the new hydraulic auto lube system, refer to Special Instruction, REHS7178, "Installation of the Hydraulic Auto Lube System on Certain 16M Motor Graders". The special instruction can be found on the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS) and through the normal literature distribution system at your local Cat dealer.

Adaptable To: The hydraulic auto lube system is adaptable to the following machines.

  • 16M (S/N: B9H1-UP; R9H1-775)

The hydraulic auto lube system is effective with the following machines.

  • 16M (S/N: R9H776-UP)
