P-524 Engine Shutdown Switch
Usage:
System Operation
The engine shutdown switch is used for normal shutdown of the engine. The shutdown command is sent to the ECM by pulling the shutdown input to battery ground. The ECM will then close the rack linkage and stop the engine.
The shutdown signal goes to the ECM through J1 pin 3 to P14 pin 31. Voltage at P14 pin 31 should be 5.0 plus or minus 0.5 V with the switch open and less than 0.5 V with the switch closed.
