The Jacobs Electronic control and Dash Modules are sealed electronic devices and are not user serviceable. To Determine if these devices require replacement, the following checks should be made in the order listed. Refer to the installation drawing 'Figure 1' for these tests.

The Jacobs Electronic Control interfaces with the Caterpillar engine to receive a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) signal. This signal is critical to the operation of the retarder control.
